I think this is the official beginning. In spite of many good intentions, I have failed to launch a consistent use of the blog. Everything changes today. It is my desire to post once a week, especially during the school year, so perhaps the summer will allow me to develop a weekly habit that will sustain itself throughout the coming school year.

The Prince Ave. Christian School Class of 2010 has graduated. I am so grateful for this group of students and what they meant to me and our school. They manifested a true spirit of leadership and were a genuine encouragement to me. I will miss them but I am sure the Lord will use them greatly to impact the world for Christ in the years ahead. Hopefully some of them will stop by occasionally.

Hannah has arrived in the land of the Thai. Her blog is linked somewhere on this blogsite.

Lydia has started her internship with the Connection (Prince Ave. Baptist Church's collegiate ministry.) She has a blog too and it's linked on here somewhere.

The roadtrip to Ohio is set. A full report will be provided on June 30.

Every accomplishment and every opportunity is a blessing from the Lord. James reminds us in James 1:17 that "every generous act and every perfect gift is from above." In the midst of new opportunities and further accomplishments, let us be faithful to give thanks and praise to Him from whom every blessing flows. Develop a spirit of gratitude and you will find that the Lord will use that, not only to bring Him honor, but to build in you a genuine reliance upon Him in all things. As we give thanks to Him, we understand that He is the source of all blessings; we understand that He is faithful; and consequently, we learn to trust Him in the things that are before us. Pray for grace that we might learn gratitude and through that we will learn reliance upon and trust in him who is able to do more than we can imagine.
